December 28th and 29th we will be getting the band back together to open for the Temple of Low Men reunion show at The Cowboy Monkey.We hope to see you there!

December 19, 2006~

JUST ADDED... Looks like we will be doing another night at The Cowboy Monkey so if you can't make it on New Year's Eve come out the night before (Dec. 30th, a/k/a New Year's Eve Eve) and party with us. This makes it a two night stand... which everyone knows is twice as fun as a one night stand.

October 12, 2006~

After almost 6 years, 300 shows, 2 EPs, 1 LP, 18 states and 75,000 miles logged; Lorenzo Goetz will be calling it quits. The band has left it's mark on the local and national scene, providing dance-inducing tunes for people in search of a good time. "Everyone in this band is in a transitional phase, so this makes a lot of sense right now" says founder/singer/songwriter/guitarist Larry Gates. The bands last show will take place on New Years Eve (Dec 31, 2006) at The Cowboy Monkey (6 Taylor St. - Champaign, IL).

Thanks to all of you that have been coming out to our Wednesday night Rehearsal Space… especially those of you that have been dancing your asses off.  You so crazy.  Tonight will be the climax of our Rehearsal Space residency with the world premiere of the video for “heavy"!!  So come out to the Canopy Club tonight and drink with us, laugh with us and by all means… let’s get frisky!

If you’re in Springfield on Friday and you need a smile or you just plain need to “dance it out” come see us at Jazz Central Station inside the Springfield Hilton… we will be playing an extra long show for your listening pleasure.

Big thanks to everyone that came out to shows last week…  It was great seeing old friends and making some new ones!  Playing with G Love and Special Sauce was awesome...  They put on a truly impressive show (and they were a lot of fun to drink cold beverages with).

TONIGHT:  You can see what it’s like to be on the inside…  Tonight and every Wednesday for this whole month we will be doing the rehearsal space residency at the Canopy Club.  So if you are over 18 come out and hang with us!  For more information please see the “shows” page.

FRIDAY!  ~We will be appearing at the Pageant in St. Louis with Margot and the Nuclear So & So’s, One Lone Car and Geoff Koch to celebrate Playback STL's 4th anniversary.  Come out and check the growth of Cousin Kickass’s afro… but be sure to mind the gravitational pull; Safety first.   

In addition to racing go-karts, enjoying reruns of The Muppet Show and being soaked to the bone, we managed to play a few shows while in New York.  HUGE thanks to Breakthru Radio!  Special shout-outs to DJs Max Power and Caleb... Independent music is hardly independent… behind us is a network of friends all over the country that help us out tremendously by dedicating their talents, time, energy, money and floors to crash on.  Thank you to all of you; and special thanks to Mark Z., who has continually gone beyond the call of duty.  We’re sorry about the damage we do to your liver.     

Soon:  We will be playing with our good friends from Chi-town, Tabakin, at the Cowboy Monkey.  These guys are an absolute party.  If you don’t come to this show you're lame!   (“Your favorite color is clear, you live upstairs in the basement, and you’re best friends with yourself!”)  Seriously.  It’s going to be madness.  It’s one of those “you pay for the whole seat but… you’ll just need… the edge!” kind of situations.

Thanks to everyone who voted for us. It's quite an honor to be named Best Rock Band two years in a row! Larry is busy dealing with the pressures that come with being named "Best Male"... At least now he can simply point to the trophy when his bedmates voice any disappointments.
